Gainesville City is comprised of 41.3% Latino population. Latinos in Hall County are largest minority living below poverty line, living in neighborhoods of 50% or more in poverty.

    Our Programs

    Literacy Program

    English, English Workplace and Fastrack Spanish GED help our community integrate, improve communication and job performance in workplace and increase opportunities for better paying jobs and education. 

    Health Initiatives

    Our health outreach and focus continues to be on COVID vaccinations, testing, education and outreach. In partnership with GMFB and Brenau nurses, we will additionally hold a preventive health screenings for our community. On an ongoing basis, we continue to refer our uninsured community to local clinics or DPH that can assist at lower cost or free for care. 


    Basic Needs

    Hall County is a Migratory worker County, who has agricultural workers coming in for seasonal Poultry and agricultural jobs. Our Latino community is the largest minority living in poverty in Hall. Our community lives in neighborhood tracks of 50% above in poverty, which means our children have little access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

    Referrals to local resources . A pantry with emergency food boxes and a monthly fresh fruits and vegetables and food distribution to relieve hunger (2020). Latino community, largest group living in poverty.  Hall County, 2nd largest Migrant County in State. 

    Legal/Immigration Services

    Access to lower cost and probono legal and Immigration services. Helping our community have access to information about becoming Citizens.

    Access to lower cost and probono services to help Latino integration and stability.  Citizenship Clinics to bring access to free assistance for those wanting to become Citizens. USCIS accreditation (application pending).

    Women's Leadership and Entrepreneurship

    Women supporting other women with Leadership and Empowerment. Increasing support network for new business owners and other women in the community. 

    Culture and Community

    Foster Culturally vibrant community by supporting local artists through education, support and network opportunities thus providing underserved community access to the Arts through the NE Artist Coalition.

    Latino fest started out at a local park and moved to the Downtown Square. We highlight local bands, local Latino artists, folklore dancing, food and art. A colorful, vibrant celebration of our heritage, culture and contributions that make our community unique. 

    Civic Engagement and Census

    Access and Education on key issues in helping civic engagement and participation. Voter registration. Translation and Transportation to polls. Census participation and assistance for full count.
