Vanesa is a professional, skilled at facilitating cross cultural relationships, forming collaborative initiatives for the benefit of the Hispanic community. As the Executive Director of Hispanic Alliance GA, La Alianza, Vanesa is helping open doors in Gainesville to the 41.3% of the population, a population she knows very well, encouraging engagement and participation and helping the community at large.
Vanesa is a native from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She came to Ontario, California at the age of 7 years old. She holds a BS in Social Work degree. She is a wife and mother of five children.
Before La Alianza, Vanesa worked as a Volunteer for the Court Appointed Special Advocates in Gainesville, advocating in court for Hispanic abused and neglected children as well as working with the Refugee resettlement cases involving young adults arriving into Gainesville. She was the only one taking these cases and worked closely as a volunteer and a consultant in special cases.
Vanesa has also worked closely with the poorest Hispanic community in Gainesville through the Migrant Education program for Hall County Schools. During this time, she provided food through Georgia Mountain Food bank partnership and has established outreach to help the children with much needed school supplies and toys at Christmas.
She has formed initiatives to help the poorest in Hall County to be able to obtain food, get basic health screenings, school supplies and toys for Christmas.
